A commercial rating allows a pilot to charge for his services. A "complex" aircraft must be used for training, that is, one with retractable landing gear, controllable pitch/constant speed propeller, and flaps. Further, an instrument rating is required for the commercial license with no limitations. The student may take the commercial practical test by holding a Third Class Medical certificate, but must have a Second Class Medical in order to exercise privileges of the commercial pilot. NOTE: Minimum age is 18. Individual student cost may vary due to aptitude, frequency of training, and other factors. Commercial Course is FAR 141 Approved.
